STEREOTYPING/CATEGORIZING. I've been trying to find the time to actually sit down and blog about this for awhile now, and I'm glad I finally have because this sh** needs to be put on the forefront. A lot of people (maybe even you) seem to stereotype, categorize, or judge people...just because they don't flash on your "normal" radar. It could be because their from a different country, the color of their skin, or even the language they speak. But for some reason, people seem to becoming more and more judgmental of others.
Now I'm no were near perfect and sometimes can fall under the category as judgemental, but I try to correct myself because you never know why that person is the way they are or choose to live the way they live. I myself can be considered "not normal" because I don't let the color of my skin, the clothes that I wear, or the things that I have define me...and people just don't seem to understand that. Why the hell would you want to be "normal" anyways? Or meet others WRONG expectations of you just because of your race, gender, or your religious faith? That's bulls***. Not all black people are gangsters or live in "ghetto" areas. Not all people from Iraq are terrorists. But these are some of the things many of us choose to believe and judge others by.
You can't judge a whole group of people by an experience you had with ONE person of that race. You can't judge by what you hear on the radio. You can't judge by what you see in the media. Because again, not everyone fits the so called "norm" (a.k.a. stereotype). Don't let things like that decieve you and trick you into being a judgemental person...and people who choose to think like that are just ignorant a** people...point blank.
So today I had my interview for that job I'd applied for awhile back, and two hours later I got a call from them saying they wanted to hire me ! I guess my luck is finally turning around after all. Thank you to everyone who sent me good luck and encouragement, you guys are awesome.
Uuh, I'm telling yall, today was just not my day...no my WEEK...at all. This whole job thing is really getting to me. I've applied to about six different places in the last two weeks and I haven't had any luck with any of them. The place were I really wanted to work at, I had called them about four days after I turned in my application to do a follow up, and I had talked to the supervisor and he said that they were in need of some closers and if I was willing to close, I would probably be hired. Then he told me to call back monday when the manager was there. So I called today and talked to the manager, and she told me they already hired closers THE DAY AFTER I turned in my application. I know it's first come first serve but, da** it, I've been having some serious bad luck lately.
So later on this afternoon, I was on eBay getting ready to bid on an item that I've had eye on for a couple of days now. So I put my bid in and sat there at the computer for about 20 minutes just refreshing the page to see if anyone had out bid me or whatever (haha, ok, you know you do it too). So literally THREE SECONDS before the auction ended some punka** @$#^%^* &%$#%*&^%# put in their bid and won. OH HELL NO. You KNOW I was pissed. What is going on lately with all this da** bad luck, I'm telling ya. I don't mean to complain but $*@!, when is my luck gonna change?
Anyway, I'm supposed to be getting a new car in the next couple of weeks. Right now I have a Ford F150, but due to gas prices rising, my parents think I should get a car so I wouldn't have to pay so much for gas (it's 100+ to fill up now). Understandable, but man, I'm gonna miss my truck. I'm trying to decide which car I should get, it's between the 2007 Mazda 3 or the 2008 Scion TC. Maybe you guys can help me decide? There both really nice and really good on gas.
I turned in another job application today so keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck because lately, I need all the luck I can get.
